Highbullen Hotel Winter Closure

Dear All,

It is with great sorrow and disappointment that I announce a decision has been made to close Highbullen Hotel for a short period due to the continuous and challenging situation we all face as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

We have been battling with this problem for a long time, but the final straw was the recent raising to tier four of London and the South East of England, one of the main areas our guests reside.

Since that announcement, we have seen most of our bookings for the festive season cancelled with January and February already extremely quiet due to the uncertainty the pandemic has caused. This has left us with little choice but to close the hotel until spring 2021.

This closure will take effect from the morning of Thursday 24th December until mid to late March.

This decision has been an incredibly hard one and has been taken with the safety of our team, and our guests at the forefront of our thinking. Happily, our team are protected by the flexible furlough scheme, ensuring that when we reopen, the same familiar faces you have all come to know and love will be there to welcome you back.

We cannot wait to welcome you all back to Highbullen in the Spring when, hopefully, it will be safe enough to do so.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a safe, healthy and happy New Year,

David Tearle

Director
